LinesearchbeforeUdig for IOS app for iPhone and iPad

The LinesearchbeforeUdig app will allow a registered user to submit an enquiry for information on underground infrastructure from Utilities for any location within Great Britain. The application provides the user with the ability to view a map (including satellite maps) of a location and detail their required work site using the app before submitting the enquiry directly to the LinesearchbeforeUdig (LSBUD) service.

The application leverages the on-board Assisted GPS capabilities of the iPhone to provide enhanced location searching capabilities for the user. An LSBUD enquiry can be created and delivered entirely from the device giving the user the ability to review and submit an enquiry on the spot or alternatively the enquiry can be saved to the device and submitted at a later date.

The application allows an excavator/contractor to be onsite while simultaneously submitting details to the LinesearchbeforeUdig service. Within seconds of completing the enquiry a list of affected LSBUD Members will be displayed on screen, following this an email listing all Affected and Not Affected LSBUD Members along with a list of Non Member utilities will arrive.
